Slab Extractor And Primary Descaler:
Properly heated and soaked slabs are extracted from the reheating furnace with the help of pushers on to the roller table and then to the descaling hood. The primary scale that is formed on the heated slab is removed by high pressure water at 150/200 bar by the descaling unit. This operation is performed prior to entry of slab in the vertical edger. Roughing mill and Finishing mill and during rolling. This ensures total elimination of rolled-in- scale in the finished plates/coils.

Reversing Roughing Mill:
The 2 high reversing universal roughing mill supplied by United Engineering Corporation is equipped with a Vertical Edger which controls the width of transfer slab, thereby facilitating accurate width control of the rolled strips. The width of Slab is measured during rolling in roughing mill by the width gauge.

Finishing Mill:
The finishing stand is 4-High Steckel mill supplied by United Engineering Corporation. The mill is equipped with Hydraulic Automatic gauge control. The thickness and profile of the strip is measured during rolling with the help of X-Rays and Automatic gauge control facilities, supplied by M/s DAVY-LOEWY ENGLAND the world leaders in AGC equipments.

The available on line datas are continuously monitored by computer which helps in producing HR Coils with best tolerances and surface finish. While producing the coils, the strip is coiled in the Steckel mill coilers housed in the furnaces above the roller tables provided on either sides of the finishing mill. This helps in maintaining sufficient temperature of the strip to facilitate rolling. To and fro rolling is done with the strip on either side of steckle mill.

Laminar Strip Cooling:
The strip cooling system is equipped with laminar cooling with precise control over rte of flow of water for cooling hot strip. This enables to achieve desired cooling temperature and metallurgical properties for the entire product.

Down Coiler:
The hot strip mill has a Hydraulic / Pneumatically operated Down Coiler with retreat to wrapper rolls during cooling with reference to head and movement i.e. jump control. This facilitates compact coiling without damaging the surface of strip by wrapper rolls even all high coiling speeds.

Plates are ultrasonically tested and Mill Test Certificate provided along with the supplies.
